Victor Yves is a Brazilian-born, Toronto-based creative with more than 15 years of experience in graphic design and art direction. Since 2022, he has been Head of Art at Publicis Canada, leading campaigns for some of the world’s most iconic brands.

His creative journey began long before titles and awards—back in Arapiraca, a small city in Brazil’s Northeast often compared to Texas, only hotter. As a kid, Victor spent countless hours building websites with his father and exploring the possibilities of the internet, armed with little more than curiosity and a Yahoo Geocities account.

What began as a hobby quickly became a calling. Victor earned his degree in Graphic Design in Maceió before moving to São Paulo to specialize in Art Direction at Miami Ad School. That decision opened doors to a career spanning boutique studios and global agencies—including F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi, AlmapBBDO, FCB, and Accenture Interactive—eventually leading him to his current leadership role at Publicis Toronto.

Over the years, Victor has created work for brands such as National Geographic, Jeep, VISA, Heineken, Uber, WhatsApp from Facebook, Nestlé, AB InBev, Havaianas, and Boehringer Ingelheim, blending craft and concept to shape meaningful visual stories. His work has been recognized by top industry festivals including Cannes Lions, D&AD, Clio Awards, The One Show, El Ojo, CCSP, and the London International Awards. In 2019, he represented Brazil at the Cannes Young Lions Competition.

His projects have also been featured in international publications such as The Guardian, Fast Company, The Times, AdAge, Adweek, The Drum, Shots, Mashable, and HuffPost—proof that creativity rooted in a small town can resonate on a global scale.

At the core of his practice, Victor continues to approach every project with the same curiosity he had as a child in Arapiraca—believing that design isn’t just about making things look beautiful, but about creating ideas that move people.
